GET OUT your diamond-encrusted pens and mark your haute couture calendars with Middlesbrough Fashion Week.

Starting on Monday May 23rd through to a grand finale on Sunday May 29th Middlesbrough Fashion Week will be bringing together the best of Middlesbrough from the independent retailers to the hottest local designers and the best high street brands.

The second annual event in association with Middlesbrough council is a new retail initiative to drive business and excitement into the town and the week will fulfil every fashionistas fantasy.

From designer dresses to hot high street home wares, hi-tech trendy gadgets and awesome accessories Middlesbrough Fashion Week will be celebrating everything fashionable our town has to offer.

Retailers include New Look, House of Fraser, Debenhams, Boots, BHS, Blue Inc, Marks and Spencer, Wallis, Topshop and Psyche.

The town’s three biggest shopping heavens – Captain Cook Square, Hillstreet Centre and The Mall – will be throwing a series of one-of-a-kind events including a living doll catwalk show and fashion hunts with TFM radio.

Activities will be based all around Middlesbrough from drop-in jewellery workshops at MIMA to Charity Chic events in association with Teesside Hospice to a VIP TFM radio party with Psyche.

You’ve got the look, Street Stylists and Red Carpet events will bring a whole new level of dynamic fun to the town and shoppers will be stepping over each other in their finest raffia wedges to Win the Window. Also included will be Middlesbrough college students taking on a spectacular fashion challenge.

Max Freer, Middlesbrough Fashion Weeks project manager wants to give customers an engaging shopping experience that they will never forget.

“Middlesbrough town centre will be transformed into an Aztec paradise and give the town’s shoppers a new and fun way to look at the incredible fashions Middlesbrough has to offer.”

Cosmopolitan award winning local designer Kate Fearnley will be holding a special VIP event at La Pharmacie – “Kate will host a swish VIP evening to showcase her brand new, affordable and fierce fashions.”

“Middlesbrough’s first ever fashion week launched last April and it was such a great success that we decided to bring it back full force this year.”
